Connected Communities: Building Digital Confidence Through Community Learning

Connected Communities is a University of Dundee project supporting people who are currently underserved by traditional digital skills provision to build confidence with technology in a welcoming, practical, community-based environment.

The project supports learning through collaboration, exploration, and real-world tasks rather than formal classes. It focuses particularly on older adults and people from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds who may face barriers to accessing digital tools, services, and opportunities.

Through new community learning groups, partnerships, and open resources, the project is developing a sustainable approach to digital inclusion that can be adopted by organisations across Scotland.
